How to Apply for CTET in 2022?

Candidates can apply for the CTET 2022 through the direct link mentioned in this article or else you can follow the given below steps:

  • Candidates will have to register themselves online through the official website of the CTET.
  • First, click on ‘New Registration’.
  • After registering, candidates need to fill in all basic information and upload a photo and signature.
  • After uploading, photo & signature candidates need to submit the application fee through online or offline mode
  • Once you are done with fee submission, candidates are required to print the completed online application form.

CTET 2022 Application Fees

As per the CTET, 2022 Notice candidates will have to pay the fees through online mode. The application fee for CTET 2022 exam is given below in the table as per the category of the candidates.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

If you want to apply for CTET 2022, then you must make sure that you fulfil the eligibility criteria that are mentioned below for your reference. 

1. Educational Qualifications for Paper – I (Primary Level)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education

2. Educational Qualifications for Paper – I (Upper Primary Level)

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

CTET 2022 Exam Pattern

CTET 2022 Exam will be conducted in two phases:

  1. Paper I
  2. Paper-II

Paper I is conducted for candidates who have been looking forward to becoming teachers for Classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is conducted for candidates who aspire to become teachers for Classes 6 to 8. Candidates also have the option to apply for both Paper-I and Paper-II.

Nature and Standard of Questions

The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners.

• The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

• The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

• Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and another as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same on the Confirmation Page.

• The Test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items will be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I-V by the NCERT.

• The questions in the test for Paper I will be based on the topics prescribed in the syllabus of the NCERT for classes I – V but their difficulty standard as well as linkages, could be up to the Secondary stage.

CTET 2022 Selection Process

  • Candidates have to qualify CTET written exam, which is held twice a year.
  • To qualify for the written exam, candidates should score a minimum of 60% or above.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria based on qualifying for the CTET paper.
  • Persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc. may get concessions from some schools as per their reservation policy.

CTET 2022 Certificate Validity

The validity of the CTET certificate for the appointment has been revised and now the certificate will remain valid throughout life. The revised validity has been made effective from 2011. The candidates whose certificates are expired can get their new certificate with no expiry.
