CTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates should be Class 12 pass with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate in order to be qualified for the CTET exam for primary teacher
Candidates should be graduated with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate or Class 12 with at least 50 per cent aggregate in order to be qualified for the CTET exam for elementary stage teacher
Candidates should have completed the prescribed teacher training programmes/teacher education courses
CTET Eligibility for Paper 1: Educational Qualification for Classes 1-5 Teachers
Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing a minimum of 45 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR

CTET 2022 Selection Process
The CTET selection process 2022 includes the following steps:
Step 1: Fill CTET application form
Aspirants need to fill their CTET application forms in the online mode on the official website of the exam. Candidates also need to pay the CTET application fee of INR 1,000 (for one paper) and INR 1,200 (for two papers).
Step 2: Download CTET admit card
Candidates can download CTET admit card from the official website of the exam. The admit card for the CTET exam contains relevant details related to the aspirant and exam. It also mentions the candidate’s test centre details as well as reporting time for the exam.
Step 3: Appear for CTET exam
Aspirants need to report at their CTET exam centres at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. CTET exam is of two and a half hour duration. On exam day, two papers are conducted. Paper 1 needs to be given by aspirants who want to qualify for teaching Classes 1 to 5 (primary wing). Paper 2 is for candidates who want to qualify for teaching classes 6 to 8 (elementary wing).
Step 4: Check CTET result
CBSE announces CTET results on the official website of the exam. Candidates who qualify the exam get a CTET eligibility certificate. The validity of the CTET eligibility certificate has been extended from seven years to a lifetime.
